How do I combine two family records for a single unmarried couple living together into a single family record?

In this scenario the first thing to do is verify if both parties are contributing to the Parish. If they are both contributing we recommend maintaining separate family IDs until they are married.  Because they are not legally married both parties will expect to receive tax statements at the end of the year for their contributions and Gabriel generates one tax statement per a family ID.
If one or both are not contributing then you may combine the two records.  Please see the related article for instructions on how to merge them into a single-family record.

Note:  It is acceptable to have two separate Family Records who have the same address.  You may want to make a note in PRM or in the family record notes box.
