Downloading Family, Member, Family Tags and Committee Member Records
Downloading Family, Member, Family Tags, and Committee records allows the user to sort on various fields to create custom listing reports and labels. These files can also be referred to as the Data Source when performing the mail merge function. Additionally, this report will allow you to review specific fields in the Family and Member records. For example, if you wanted to know who does not have an email address you can sort the report for all records where this field is blank.
1. Family Download - Go to Families > Family Search > Reset.
Define your criteria for the family records you wish to download. ( Using Family and Member Search ) Click the Search button. All the families that were defined in your search criteria are now listed on your screen. You can download this into an Excel file by clicking on Download. This file will automatically download into your download file and will automatically be given the name families.
2. Member Download - Go to Families > Member Search > Reset.
Define your criteria for the member records you wish to download. ( Using Family and Member Search ) Click the Search button. All the members that were defined in your search criteria are now listed on your screen. You can download this into an Excel file by clicking on Download.
3. Committee Download - Go to Committees > Committee Maintenance. You can choose to download all the committee members for each committee or you can choose specific committees by putting a check in the box next to the committee name. If you do not select any specific committees then the download will produce all members from each committee.
4. Family Tag Download - Go to Families > Family Tag Maintenance. You can choose to download all the Family Tags or you can choose specific Family Tags to download by putting a check in the box next to the Family Tag name. If you do not specify a specific Family Tag then the download will produce all families from each Family Tag.
